Head DIRECTOR
Kelly Mabry
I’m Kelly Mabry, the proud Director of the Glenn Guardian and Angels Dance Teams, and I’m thrilled to be part of LISD. For over a decade, I’ve had the honor of guiding talented dancers in our district, and I’m excited about the amazing things happening here at GHS.
As a native Austinite, my passion for dance began early, from training in local studios to serving as an officer for the Lanier Vikettes. This passion led me to Kilgore Junior College, where I became a world-famous Kilgore Rangerette (’94-’96), performing on global stages and meeting distinguished individuals like former President George H.W. Bush.
After Kilgore, I earned a B.A. in History from the University of Texas at Austin and have accumulated over 21 years of experience in dance team coaching. Every moment has been a rewarding adventure.
When I’m not leading the Glenn dancers, I’m at home in Liberty Hill with my husband, Bobby Mabry, Assistant Superintendent of Jarrell ISD. Together, we’ve blended a family of four amazing children, each pursuing their own successful paths, from advertising and psychology to cosmetology, a journeyman lineman, and law enforcement. My children inspire me to be the compassionate, challenging, and consistent educator I strive to be.
To me, dance is more than movement; it’s a tool for building confidence, integrity, and determination. I’m committed to helping my students grow as dancers and individuals ready to face the world with grace and grit.
Every day is an opportunity to improve. Let’s make today extraordinary together!
